Director's Message

Surashiya is law graduate from the Amity Law College, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. She is a woman who embodies resilience, empathy and strong commitment towards promotion and protection of the human rights in the country. She has always advocated for the rights of the vulnerable communities, particularly women and children. She is a legal professional who has been working with the National Human Rights Commission of India since the last five years. She has been an important contributor in big assignments handled by NHRC India, both national and international. With the global call for the protection of the environment and the prevention of human rights violations in business, she has ventured into this area and raised these issues so that they are properly addressed. Labour rights, including bonded labour, is also an area where she has worked.

For her, success reflects promotion and protection of the rights of all, creation of a sustainable green world and all the business entities complying to the human rights standards.
